Our Story:

The Rady School of Management at the University of California San Diego is a professional school within one of the top-ranked institutions in the U.S. for higher education and research. Established in 2003 and accredited by AACSB International in 2011, the Rady School is the only new business school created at a U.S. News & World Report top 10 ranked public research university during the past 30 years, and is one of the youngest in the nation ever to achieve AACSB recognition.

Since its founding, over 180 operational companies have been founded by Rady School students and alumni, creating an economic impact of over $2 billion to the innovation economy locally and across the globe. We will continue to recruit top faculty, attract leading student scholars, and create a climate for innovative business and research collaborations.

Rady School faculty are internationally recognized for the quality of their intellectual contributions, publishing in leading academic journals and earning top rankings from publications such as Bloomberg Businessweek, The Economist and the Financial Times. Faculty at the Rady School are dedicated to education and to ensuring that students have the knowledge and skills to be effective as managers and leaders in a changing business world.

The Rady School offers a Full-Time MBA program, two FlexMBA programs for working professionals, a Master of Finance program, a Full-Time and Flex Master of Science in Business Analytics, a Master of Professional Accountancy,  a Ph.D. program, as well several undergraduate minors and executive education courses. The Rady School is at the nexus of this research, development and innovation — it underlies our curriculum and our academic model.

The Rady School is home to numerous centers of excellence, including the California Institute for Innovation and Development (CIID), the Center for Executive Development, the Beyster Institute, the Center for Business Analytics, the Center for Social Innovation and Impact, the U.S.-Israel Center on Innovation and Economic Sustainability, and the Institute for Supply Excellence and Innovation.

The Rady School embraces cultural inclusion as essential to the fabric of the school. Diversity is fundamental to creativity, to innovation, to insight and especially to understanding, all of which contribute to the mosaic that makes our Rady School so extraordinary.
